“You get what you pay for.” This is what it means- When you pay more money for an item, it’s usually of good quality and will last a long time. The same factory that makes the world’s highest quality product can easily make a lower end one. When it comes to challenge coins, this is also very true.
A challenge coin consists of 3 major points.
1. Design
2. Metal
3. Paint
Seems pretty easy right ? Well, Yes and No. You may get a flat ( non 3D ) coin for only pennies less than you could if you had chosen the right company to make them.
Design is king. The small details make or break a coin. When you need someone that has designed nearly 20,000 coins over his career in the business, that is why you’re more than welcome to contact us.
Metal, You may think all metals are created equally, well from a visual standpoint that may have some truth to it. Realistically, coins get carried and sometimes travel around the globe. If your coin is thin, it holds no weight like a potato chip. If your coin’s plating is too thin as well, it can wear and tear throughout the years. Our coins are double tuff electroplated and built to last.
Paint or enamel : Both are the same, right ? Again, Yes and No. Paint also known as soft enamel paint is just that. Soft, thin, and zero luster. The price between the two are very small but far from the same product. Enamel ( 3D enamel or 3rd enamel ) is more like the type of finish you would see on jewelry. It’s hard, it’s tough, and it has a polished luster to it.
